Mobile System Requirements
The following are minimum equipment and operating system requirements. Because equipment and software continually advance, NextGen Mobile Solutions must also change the minimum requirements from time to time.
NextGen® Enterprise EHR
Mobile E-Prescribing: NextGen version 5.9/8.4 and Enterprise API
Mobile Charge Capture: NextGen version 5.9/8.4, Enterprise API, and purchase of the 2019 CPT® Codes and compliance with the American Medical Association (AMA) CPT code license use rules.
Desktop, minimum: Windows 7, 4GB RAM, dual-core 64-bit processor, USB or PCI 802.11g/n wireless network adapter;
or 100Mbit wired Ethernet network adapter, microphone or headset
Desktop, recommended: Windows 8, 6GB RAM, quad-core 64-bit processor, USB or PCI 802.11g/n wireless network adapter;or 100Mbit wired Ethernet network adapter, microphone or headset
iOS, minimum: iOS 9.x on any of an iPhone 5 or greater 6th generation iPod Touch, iPad 2 or greater
iOS, recommended: iOS 11.x on either an iPhone 5s or greater, 6th Generation iPod Touch or 3rd-generation or greater iPad
Supported Android Versions:
- Nougat (7.x)>
- Oreo (8.x)
- Pie (9.x)
Mobile (Wi-Fi): an 802.11g or 802.11n wireless network, with a consistent signal strength of at least -55 dB at all points and smooth handoffs between access points
Desktop: either the wireless network described for mobile devices or a wired network of 100Mbit/s or better.
Mobile (Cellular): a GSM UMTS/HSPA (“3G”) connection or a GSM HSPA+ (“4G”) connection or a 3GPP LTE (“4G LTE”) connection, any of which must consistently maintain a signal strength of at least -85dBm
Both mobile and desktop: Required throughput to the “Entrada Cloud” varies based on clinic size and should be at least 256 Kbps per concurrent user when dictating regardless of connection method.
The correct Internet browser version is needed for the portal application:
- Internet Explorer 8, 10 and 11
- Google Chrome versions 45 and 46
- Mozilla Firefox versions FF 40 and FF 41
- Apple Safari 7 and 8
These requirements are for special cases and specific EHR integrations.
