Topic : 8.0 KBM

In 2009, NextGen launched the Community Forum as an effort to make it easy for people to discuss NextGen products, services and other related topics. While the forum had a loyal following, over the years usage has declined.

So, in spring of 2014 we will retire the NextGen Community and it’s forum. We encourage users to follow the NextGen blog and follow us on Facebook and Twitter to keep up-to-date on industry and product happenings and so we can continue our conversations with you.

We've got two separate practices live on KBM 8.0.1 - a multi-provider behavioral health clinic and an OB/Gyn single physician practice.  It's going well for both so far.

How long have you been using 8.0.1 kbm?  I haven't seen alot of information about it being in general release.  We were planning on upgrading to 7.9 this year, but then had a demo of 8.0 and would rather go with that for our multi-specialty group.

We've just been using it for a couple of months.  Both of these were new installations that coincided with the release of KBM 8.0.1 so we were able to use the BTU.  My understanding is that the upgrade package is still in QA / LGR / something like that.

We just signed a contract with Nextgen and will be getting KBM 8.0 but already had training manuals for 7.9 (before we found out about the new version).

Does anyone know if there are any major changes between the two version?

Any information about the versions or implementation would be much appreciated.

Does anyone know where to find the User Guide for KBM 8? We're going to be moving to it.

8.0 is indeed not released yet, but I've seen a bit of the OPH template set.  Some changes are made to how medications are entered from History template.  Blue appearance is replaced by shades of gray.  The Navigation sidebar has a different look with new icons.  Social history has been expanded to include data grids of tobacco use history, which seems like a waste of space for OPH usage.
