WellcareSM
WellCare is
NextGen Healthcare’s free value-added
server support system for practices hosting
a NextGen application and enrolled in
the server maintenance program. This
mutually beneficial service drastically
reduces disaster recovery support by
monitoring key aspects of the practice’s
network, thus reducing customer support
calls and keeping the practice running
smoothly.
In conjunction with SilverBack Technologies,
Inc., NextGen Healthcare offers this
intuitive remote monitoring and reporting
system to its customers.
Benefits of WellCare
- Remotely monitors and alerts practices
on critical issues, such as backups,
SQL errors, disk space, CPU utilization.
- 24/7 Alert Notifications help to
keep practices aware of potential problems
that could interfere with the performance
of their facility.
- Monthly Reporting is available.
How WellCare Works
- SilverStreak, the code that powers
WellCare, is installed on one of the
servers or a PC on a practice’s
network
- The SilverStreak software polls the
other servers it is monitoring
- The information is sent via https
(port 443) to NextGen’s SilverBack
Server
- The SilverBack Server then processes
all data for CPU, Disk, and Memory
Utilization, backups (Veritas & ArcServe),
and SQL Errors
- This information is acquired from
Performance Monitor and Event Viewer
on each of the practice’s servers
- Alerts are sent via email to customers
and via a dashboard in NextGen’s
WellCare NOC
