Providers using NextGen EMR can securely send health records to a patient or other providers with a few clicks. No additional hardware is needed - just an internet connection.
ChartMail health records can include any data, such as patient images, demographics, histories, lab results, allergies, diagnoses, patient education documents, and more.
The requesting patient or practice will receive an e-mail with a link to a secure server where the electronic chart is located. Prior to viewing the chart, patients must answer a security question, and providers are required to input a time-sensitive code specific to that one record.
Patients may export the chart to a portable device for easy transport and sharing with other Personal Health Record (PHR) products.
Providers accepting the HIPAA-compliant ChartMail records may load the data directly into their EMR in standardized formats, such as CCR, CCD, XML, and HTML.
Even physicians without an EMR can view the record in a standard web browser and print it.
Note: Some features may require additional purchase or incur separate charges.
