At the heart of NextGen EMR is the electronic chart, which maintains a complete patient record based on input templates completed during patient encounters. All data captured through these templates, along with images such as photographs, scanned documents, lab results, drawings, and/or typed text or signatures, are stored in the patient record and are easily searchable and reportable.

The electronic chart was designed to be highly intuitive and user-friendly. Providers can customize templates and triggers and define treatment protocols, enabling them to conduct visits and practice medicine in ways that coincide with their specialty and personal preferences.
This unparalleled flexibility enables NextGen EMR to handle the diverse needs of multiple providers and specialties and allows providers to make such cost-effective changes as adding new fields, alerts, new screens, clinical pathways, documents, protocols, default fields, required fields and pick-lists in-house, without programmers. In addition, it promotes physician acceptance, for greater investment protection.
Note: Some features may require additional purchase or incur separate charges.
