Louis E. Silverman, President and
Chief Executive Officer of Quality Systems,
Inc.

Louis E. Silverman was appointed President
and Chief Executive Officer of Quality Systems,
Inc., (QSI) on July 31, 2000. Before joining
QSI, he served as Chief Operations Officer
for CorVel Corporation, a publicly traded
national managed care services and technology
firm. Silverman received a bachelor’s
degree in American Studies from Amherst
College (Amherst, Mass.) and holds a master’s
degree in business administration from the
Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.
Paul Holt, Chief Financial Officer,
QSI

Paul Holt has served as Chief Financial
Officer for Quality Systems, Inc., since
November 2000. Most recently, he served
as the Controller for Sierra Alloys Co.,
Inc., a titanium metal manufacturing company.
Before joining Sierra Alloys, he held various
controller positions with Refrigeration
Supplies Distributor, a wholesale distributor
and manufacturer of refrigeration supplies
and heating controls. Holt received a bachelor’s
degree in economics from the University
of California at Irvine and holds a master’s
degree in accounting from the University
of Southern California. He is a Certified
Public Accountant.
Janet Gutkin, Vice President & Controller
Janet Gutkin has served as Controller for Quality Systems, Inc., since November 2004 and most recently as Vice President and Controller since August 2007.Before joining QSI, she worked at Arthur Andersen LLP for several years where she earned her Certified Public Accountant license and also worked at another local publicly traded company as an Assistant Controller.She received a bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Irvine and holds a master’s degree in Accounting from the University of Southern California.

Patrick B. Cline,
President

Patrick B. Cline brings extensive experience
to his role as President of NextGen Healthcare
Information Systems, Inc., including more
than two decades of senior-level management
experience in the healthcare information
systems industry. Cline was a co-founder
of Clinitec, a company later acquired by
Quality Systems, Inc., and served as the
company’s President from its inception
in January 1994 through its transition to
NextGen Healthcare Information Systems,
Inc. Before co-founding Clinitec, he served
as Vice President of Sales and Marketing
for Script Systems, a healthcare information
systems company and subsidiary of InfoMed.
Fred Neufeld, Executive Vice President and General Manager
Frederick Neufeld, Executive Vice President and General Manager, has significant experience as a senior manager of healthcare information technology companies. He was the founder and chief executive officer of InfoMed, Inc., which was ranked as one of best health care information systems companies in the U.S. by Healthcare Informatics. He is a recipient of the Entrepreneur Of The Year Finalist Award from Inc. Magazine and the IBM Excellence Award. He received a B.S. degree from Union College, Schenectady, NY
Tim Eggena, Executive Vice President, Product Development
Tim Eggena has served as Executive VP of Research and Development since August of 2006. His responsibilities include all product development, EMR knowledgebase development, NextGen’s claims and EDI department, and NextGen’s revenue cycle management division. Prior to this recent promotion, Mr. Eggena served as VP of Product Development for seven years. Mr. Eggena was a co-founder of MicroMed Healthcare Information Systems and has served in a senior management role since its inception in January 1993 and throughout its transition to NextGen Healthcare Information Systems. Prior to co-founding MicroMed, Mr. Eggena worked for Gerber Alley, an HIS vendor. Mr. Eggena holds a B.A. in MIS from Auburn University.
Kimberly Cline, Executive Vice President, Client Services
Kimberly Cline, Executive Vice President of Client Services, is responsible for overseeing the management of Implementation and Training, Customer Support, Corporate Training, eLearning, and Customer Relations. Prior to joining Clinitec (now NextGen Healthcare) in 1996, Ms. Cline managed a successful Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery practice and administered their SurgiCenter. Previously, she was with a Practice Management System vendor for 8 years. Ms. Cline has a total of 22 years of Healthcare IT experience.
Bob Ellis, Executive Vice President, Operations and Legal
Bob Ellis, Executive Vice President of Operations and Legal, has been an attorney since 1984, licensed in New Jersey and New York. Mr. Ellis joined Clinitec in January 1995 as employee #9. Prior to joining Clinitec, he was briefly with Bull Information Systems, a French owned software/hardware company, and previously he was in private practice for many years.Mr. Ellis received his undergraduate degree from Rutgers College, and his law degree from Benjamin Cardozo School of Law in NYC. He has been in the software and healthcare field for over 24 years.
Jerry Shultz, Vice President of Sales and Marketing
Jerry Shultz has more than 23 years of healthcare IT experience, including over 18 years of sales/sales management experience. In his capacity, Mr. Shultz has also spent 5 years in various product implementation and support training activities. Mr. Shultz is a graduate of Spring Garden University in Philadelphia.
Ike Ellison, Vice President of Business Development
Ike Ellison has a total of 18 years of professional and management HCIT experience. In his capacity, Ike is responsible for managing the development and growth of channel and business development relationships for NextGen. Ike also participates in industry associations, such as the MS-HUG Advisory Board where he is a board member. Ike is a graduate of the University of Texas in Austin receiving a B.A. in Economics.
Scott Decker, Vice President
Scott Decker is a Senior Vice President of NextGen Healthcare, focusing on the Company’s community connectivity and the hospital sector. Scott is also involved in the Company’s marketing endeavors and strategic planning. Formerly, Scott was the founder, chief executive officer, and president of Healthvision, as well as the chairman of the board of directors. Prior to joining Healthvision, Scott was the Vice President of Development for VHA Inc.’s Health Information Technologies business unit and focused on the development of one of the nation’s first Intranets: VHAseCURE.net. He began his career at IBM Corporation, where he held a variety of sales, marketing and business development positions within the Global Health Industry Business Unit. Scott earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Trinity University in San Antonio, graduating summa cum laude.
Sarah Corley, MD, Chief Medical Officer
Sarah Corley is the Chief Medical Officer, and she also practices part-time as a primary care Internist in the metropolitan Washington, DC area. She recently completed a four-year term as Governor of the Virginia chapter of the American College of Physicians (ACP) and is on their National Medical Informatics Subcommittee. She has participated on a number of National panels on the topic of health information technology in clinical practice. She currently serves on both the Ambulatory Functionality and Foundation work groups for the Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology. She represents the ACP on the Physicians Electronic Health Record Coalition. She received post-graduate training in Medical Informatics at OHSU. She has used electronic health records for the past 14 years and has spoken extensively on the subject. Her research interest lies in using EHRs to improve quality in medical practices.
Charles Jarvis, Assistant Vice President, Healthcare Industry Services & Government Relations
Charles W. Jarvis FACHE is Assistant Vice President for Healthcare Industry Services and Legislative Affairs – having been in this role since January 2005.Mr. Jarvis' responsibilities include community and partnership business development including overseeing the company grants and funding procurement program, government relations, new business planning, and educational efforts. Mr. Jarvis is active in the Electronic Health Record Vendor Association (EHRVA), currently holding the position of Chairman of the Government Affairs and Affiliated Organizations Workgroup.Prior to joining NextGen, Mr. Jarvis was in hospital and physician group practice management for 25 years in both the New Jersey and Massachusetts markets.
Mr. Jarvis holds a Masters Degree in Business with a concentration in Health Administration from Temple University and a Bachelors Degree in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is also a Fellow in the American College of Health Care Executives and holds the American Medical Informatics Certification for Health Information Technology.
