NextGen® Inpatient Financial—Applications

Our integrated Financial Suite provides financial applications, reporting, and decision support for hospitals and clinic facilities, and includes the following applications:

  • NextGen Master Patient Index, ADT, and Registration: The Admit, Discharge and Transfer system relies on an enterprise-based Master Patient Index to retain key demographic and financial information about each patient in order to support the admitting and registration process. Cross-referenced employer, payer, and plan tables simplify insurance coverage determination and identify preauthorization and utilization management requirements.

  • NextGen General Ledger & Budgeting: The General Ledger provides the core of the financial system. Supported by an audit trail, transactions from each subsystem are transferred or closed into the general ledger and summarized to produce custom financial reports and supporting detail. Budgeting utilizes historical data and projected changes to forecast elements of the budget and generate budget comparison reports.

  • NextGen Enterprise Scheduling: Performs the scheduling of patients and resources in a convenient, cost-effective manner within a single integrated system. • NextGen Payroll, Human Resource, and Time & Attendance (T&A): One of the most comprehensive HR, Payroll, T&A, and Employee Self Service management systems available, it automates labor-intensive payroll processes and also organizes and protects Payroll and HR data. The system supports unlimited direct deposits and deductions, as well as multiple pay frequencies. For financial management, the Payroll system is interfaced to the General Ledger and Accounts Payable in order to provide a variety of management reports for planning and control. The Time and Attendance component is an advanced time collection and management system designed to improve the flow and collection of employee time information, while reducing data gathering efforts.
