Health Quality Measures Reporting Module
The Health Quality Measures Reporting Module is a clinical data
repository used for automatic registry reporting of clinical outcomes and quality
measure data required by pay-for-performance (P4P) programs such as Economic Stimulus.
To use the HQM Reporting Module, practices simply document patient
encounters in NextGen® Ambulatory EHR and NextGen® Practice
Management (PM) systems, and the HQM Reporting Module does the rest.
Practices select the programs and measures they wish to participate in – the Economic
Stimulus program for example has 25 required measures for Eligible Professionals
and 23 required measures for Eligible Hospitals. The robust reporting engine simply
collects the data with NO EXTRA CLICKS, calculates the measures and produces the
electronic reports.
The HQM Reporting Module automates what has previously been a time-consuming
data collection and reporting process. Also, as a result, the physician’s performance
reports use clinical data based on a provider's actual performance not claims data,
as do other systems.

The HQM Module not only improves documenting and measuring clinical care, but
assists providers with:
|
| |
|
Preventive and disease management services due for all patients
|
|
Level the playing field with payer's evaluation of practice/physician
performance
|
|
Improve on measures used for physician score-carding
|
| |
Physicians and practice administrators are provided analytical reports on measure
performance as well as detailed patient reports identifying treatment opportunities
within the patient population.
